House Sponsors: LINDNER-YOUNGE Short description: COMMUNITY MNTL HLTH-RELEASEE Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Amends the Community Mental Health Act. Provides that from funds appropriated by the General Assembly to the Department of Human Services for that purpose, the Secretary of Human Services shall establish 3 pilot programs, one in a municipality of over 2,000,000 inhabitants, one in a county of fewer than 3,000,000 inhabitants that is contiguous to a county of 3,000,000 or more inhabitants, and one in a county of fewer than 3,000,000 inhabitants that is not contiguous to a county of 3,000,000 or more inhabitants, to provide persons who have been released from jails and pretrial detention facilities with access to providers of mental health services.
