ICC-NATURAL GAS DISTRIBUTION                                               

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Directs the Illinois Commerce Commission to explore ways to allow      
   local natural gas distribution companies to mitigate the price  spikes      
   in  natural  gas  through  hedging or advance purchasing.  Directs the      
   Illinois Commerce Commission to report on its findings to the  General      
   Assembly by July 1, 2001.
