Short description: 
$DHS-AGING-HOME SRVCS-KID CARE                                             

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Appropriates the following amounts from the General Revenue Fund:      
   (1) $17,000,000 to the Department on Aging to  provide  a  $1-per-hour      
   wage  increase for Community Care Program/Homemakers effective July 1,      
   2002; (2) $3,000,000 to the Department  of  Human  Services  for  wage      
   parity  for homemakers under the Home Services Program; (3) $6,279,000      
   to the Department on Aging for a  3%  cost  of  living  allowance  for      
   providers under the Community Care Program/Homemaker Program effective      
   April  1, 2002; (4) $8,362,500 to the Department of Human Services for      
   a 3% cost of living allowance for providers under  the  Home  Services      
   Program effective April 1, 2002; and (5) $24,228,750 to the Department      
   of  Human  Services  for  a  3% cost of living allowance for providers      
   under the Child  Care  Program  effective  April  1,  2002.  Effective      
   immediately.
