ELEC-SENIOR ABSENTEE VOTING                                                

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Amends the Election Code.  Permits a person to vote  by  absentee      
   ballot on the basis that he or she is 65 years old or older.                
          FISCAL NOTE (State Board of Elections)                               
          HB 5601 would have minimal fiscal impact on the operations of        
          the State Board of Elections.                                        
          STATE MANDATES NOTE                                                  
          (Department of Commerce and Community Affairs)                       
          In the opinion of DCCA, HB 5601 creates a local government           
          organization and structure mandate for which reimbursement is        
          not required under the State Mandates Act.
