HIGH ED ASSIST-VETERAN GRANT                                               

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Amends the Higher Education  Student  Assistance  Act.   Makes  a      
   technical change in a Section concerning the veteran grant.                 
        SENATE AMENDMENT NO. 1.                                                
          Deletes reference to:                                                
          110 ILCS 947/40                                                      
          Adds reference to:                                                   
          110 ILCS 680/25-15                                                   
        Deletes  everything  after  the  enacting  clause.   Amends   the      
   Northeastern Illinois University Law. Provides that the student member      
   of  the  Board  of  Trustees  may  serve  only  for one term. Allows a      
   graduate student to be a student member. Effective immediately.
