FICTITIOUS DRIVERS LICENSES-ID                                             

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Amends the Illinois Identification  Card  Act  and  the  Illinois      
   Vehicle Code. Increases various penalties for knowingly manufacturing,      
   possessing, transferring, or providing any identification document for      
   the  purpose of obtaining a fictitious identification card or driver's      
   license or permit. Increases the penalties for knowingly  duplicating,      
   manufacturing,  selling, or transferring any fraudulent identification      
   card or driver's  license  or  permit.  Increases  the  penalties  for      
   advertising  or distributing information or materials that promote the      
   selling, giving, or furnishing of a fraudulent identification card  or      
   fraudulent driver's license or permit.                                      
          FISCAL NOTE (Department of Corrections)                              
          HB 4951 would cause an increase of 6 inmates in the                  
          corrections population and would have a fiscal impact of             
          $1,618,100.
