Short description: 
VEH CD-REGISTER FLEET VEHICLES                                             

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code. Provides for registration of  a      
   fleet of vehicles under a  contractual agreement with the Secretary of      
   State  and  subject  to  specified  requirements.    Provides that the      
   Secretary may audit the  registration  plates  and  the  inventory  of      
   credentials of the fleet owner. Provides for issuance of fleet vehicle      
   license  plates  on  a  multiple-year basis.  Provides that the phrase      
   "Land of Lincoln" may be replaced with  the  word  "fleet".   Provides      
   that  the  plates  may  display  a designation to be determined by the      
   Secretary. Provides that plates may  be  issued  to  the  fleet  owner      
   before  being  assigned  to specific vehicles but also provides that a      
   plate may not be displayed on a  vehicle  until  the  plate  has  been      
   activated  on  the  Secretary's registration file and the required fee      
   has been forwarded. Effective July 1, 2003.

          HB 4911 would have no fiscal impact.
