Short description: SUPPORT-CRT CLRK-STATE DISBURS Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Amends the Illinois Public Aid Code, the Clerks of Courts Act, the Code of Criminal Procedure of 1963, the Code of Civil Procedure, the Illinois Marriage and Dissolution of Marriage Act, the Non-Support Punishment Act, the Expedited Child Support Act of 1990, the Income Withholding for Support Act, the Illinois Parentage Act of 1984, and the Illinois Domestic Violence Act of 1986. Provides for the transfer of functions relating to the collection and disbursement of maintenance and support payments from the circuit clerks to the State Disbursement Unit established under the Illinois Public Aid Code. Transfers some record-keeping and reporting functions in connection with maintenance and support payments from circuit clerks to the Department of Public Aid. In the Clerks of Courts Act, eliminates the $36 annual fee to be charged by circuit clerks for maintaining child support records and processing child support payments. Makes other changes. Effective July 1, 2002.
