House Sponsors: MOORE. Short description: VEH CD-VEHICLE EMISSIONS Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Amends the Emission Inspection Chapter of the Illinois Vehicle Code. Amends the definition of "affected counties" by adding certain territories. Specifies certain inspection procedures that shall be followed on model year 1996 and newer vehicles equipped with OBDII on-board computer diagnostic equipment, if authorized by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the Pollution Control Board or the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency. Effective immediately, except that the provisions adding territories to the definition of "affected counties" take effect 90 days after becoming law.
