MEDICAID-GENERIC DRUG COPAYMTS                                             

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Amends the Illinois Public Aid Code.  Provides  that  co-payments      
   for  generic  prescription  drugs  under  the Medicaid program may not      
   exceed $0.50 per prescription.  (Under current  law,  co-payments  may      
   not exceed $1 for pharmacy services.)
