House Sponsors: JOHNSON-MATHIAS. Short description: VEH CD-DUI-BLOOD DRAW Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code. Provides that, upon request by a law enforcement officer, a person authorized under this Section to withdraw blood or collect urine samples shall withdraw blood and obtain urine samples from a person whom the officer has probable cause to believe caused the death or personal injury of another by operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs or a combination of both, for the purpose of determining the level of alcohol or drug content in that person's blood or urine.
