Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
Amends the School Code. Requires a school board to permit the
self-administration by a pupil of prescribed asthma medication,
provided that the parents or guardians of the pupil (i) provide to the
school or school board written authorization for the
self-administration and (ii) provide to the school board written
certification from the pupil's physician or other State-licensed
health care provider that the pupil has asthma and is capable of
self-administration of medication. Requires information concerning
the medication to be kept on file. Contains provisions concerning

Deletes everything after the enacting clause. Reinserts the

self-administration of medication, what information is to be provided
to the school or school board, and who is to provide the information.
