Short description: MEDICAID-FAMILY PLANNING SRVCS Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Amends the "Medicaid" Article of the Illinois Public Aid Code. Provides for coverage of family planning services for persons whose income is less than 200% of the federal poverty level. HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 1. Deletes everything. Amends the "Medicaid" Article of the Illinois Public Aid Code. Makes changes substantially similar to those made by the bill as introduced, except makes coverage subject to federal approval and requires the Department of Public Aid to apply for federal approval. FISCAL NOTE (Department of Public Aid) The estimated fiscal impact is $9 million annually, however, only 10% of the expenditures would be the responsibility of the State if a federal waiver, with a 90% federal match, is granted.
