Short description: ICC PHONE DO NOT CALL LIST Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Amends the Public Utilities Act. Provides for the Commerce Commission to establish a database of telephone numbers of Illinois residents who object to receiving telephone solicitations. Requires persons who make telephone solicitations to purchase the database from the Commission. Prohibits the making of telephone solicitations to persons who have given notice to the Commission of their objection to receiving telephone solicitations. Provides for enforcement by the Commission and the Attorney General. Amends the Freedom of Information Act to exempt the telephone solicitation objection database from the disclosure requirements of that Act. Effective immediately.
