Short description: 
AG GRANTS-ANIMAL AGRICULTURE                                               

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Creates the Animal Agriculture Industry Development Program  Act.      
   Requires  the  Department  of  Commerce and Community Affairs to award      
   grants to animal agriculture industry producers  for  the  purpose  of      
   obtaining  consultant  and other professional services to evaluate the      
   start-up, modernization, or expansion of Illinois  animal  agriculture      
   operations. Repeals the Act on July 1, 2007.  Effective immediately.        
        HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 1.                                                 
        Provides  that  the  Department  of  Agriculture  shall   provide      
   technical  support  and  expertise  to the Animal Agriculture Industry      
   Development Program established by this  Act.  Changes  the  effective      
   date to January 1, 2002.
