RAUSCHENBERGER. (HANNIG-CURRIE) New Act Creates the FY2003 Budget Implementation Act. Provides that the purpose of the Act is to make the changes in State programs that are necessary to implement the Governor's FY2003 budget recommendations. HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 2. Deletes reference to: New Act Adds reference to: 20 ILCS 801/1-25 Deletes everything. Amends the Department of Natural Resources Act. In the definition of museums eligible for capital development funds, adds the promotion of cultural development through performing arts and requires an annual indoor attendance (now, annual attendance) of at least 150,000. Provides that a museum is eligible to receive funds for capital development if it is certified as a public museum by a unit of local government in which it is located. Provides that museums eligible to receive funds for capital development shall match State funds with local or private funding according to the following: (i) for a public museum with an attendance of 300,000 or less during the preceding calendar year, no match is required; (ii) for a public museum with an attendance of over 300,000 but less than 600,000 during the preceding calendar year, the match must be at a ratio of $1 from local and private funding for every $1 in State funds; and (iii) for a public museum with an attendance of over 600,000 during the preceding calendar year, the match must be at a ratio of $2 from local and private funds for every $1 in State funds (rather than at a ratio of $2 from local and private funds for every $1 in State funds).
