BOMKE. 720 ILCS 5/9-3 from Ch. 38, par. 9-3 Amends the Criminal Code of 1961. Provides that, in addition to other factors that define the offense, involuntary manslaughter is also committed when a person unintentionally kills an individual without lawful justification and the acts that cause the death, whether lawful or unlawful, are committed by a pedestrian on a public roadway, are such as are likely to cause death or great bodily harm to some individual, and are performed in a reckless manner.
