        Amends the Code of Civil Procedure  in  provisions  concerning  a      
   lien  upon  crops. Provides that a lien arising under these provisions      
   (now, a lien arising under these provisions and duly  perfected  under      
   the   Article  of  the  Uniform  Commercial  Code  concerning  secured      
   transactions  and  other  matters)  shall  have  priority   over   any      
   agricultural  lien  (now,  any  other  agricultural lien) and over any      
   security interest arising under the Article of the Uniform  Commercial      
   Code  concerning  secured  transactions  and other matters. Amends the      
   Article of the Uniform Commercial Code concerning secured transactions      
   and  other  matters.  Removes  as  an  item  included  in   the   term      
   "agricultural  lien",  an  interest  in farm products (i) that secures      
   payment or performance of an obligation  for  rent  on  real  property      
   leased  by  a debtor in connection with its farming operation and (ii)      
   that is created by statute in favor  of  a  person  that  leased  real      
   property   to  a  debtor  in  connection  with  the  debtor's  farming      
   operation. Removes a provision stating that  the  Article  applies  to      
   landlord liens if they are agricultural liens. Effective immediately.
