        Amends the Illinois Egg and Egg Products Act.  Provides  that  no      
   eggs  may  be  offered  for  sale  for consumer use after the 30th day      
   following the original candling date. Deletes a provision  authorizing      
   the recandling and regrading of eggs not sold within 30 days. Provides      
   that  the packaging may be labeled with an expiration date of not more      
   than 30 days after the candling date for grade A  eggs  and  not  more      
   than 15 days after the candling date for grade AA eggs (rather than 30      
   and  15  days after the packing date). Provides that the first handler      
   in Illinois must pay the inspection fee or, if  shipped  from  out  of      
   state,  by  the  handler  who  invoiced the eggs to Illinois.  Deletes      
   language authorizing the sale of ungraded uncandled eggs direct to the      
   consumer for personal use. Deletes language permitting  the  repacking      
   of  eggs  into  consumer-sized  containers  other than during original      
   candling and grading operations.  Effective immediately.                    
        HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 1.                                                 
          Adds reference to:                                                   
          410 ILCS 615/8                  from Ch. 56 1/2, par. 55-8           
        Amends the Illinois Egg and Egg Products Act. Provides that  eggs      
   sold off the premises where the flock is located (as well as eggs sold      
   at  retail  or  for  institutional  use)  are  subject to candling and      
   grading requirements. Provides that specified persons who  buy,  sell,      
   trade,  or  traffic  in  eggs in this State must be licensed. Provides      
   that a producer who sells eggs to household consumers is  exempt  from      
   licensing  requirements  only  if the sales take place on the premises      
   where the flock is located.
