SAVIANO. New Act 740 ILCS 10/5 from Ch. 38, par. 60-5 Creates the Health Care Services Contract Joint Discussions Act. Authorizes competing health care providers within a geographical area served by a health care plan to enter joint discussions with the health care plan concerning various practices and procedures, clinical criteria, drug formularies, reimbursement methodologies, and inclusion and alteration of terms and conditions. Authorizes competing health care providers to jointly discuss certain terms and conditions under certain circumstances. Amends the Illinois Antitrust Act to provide that the Act shall not be construed to make illegal the activities of a person pursuant to and in compliance with the Health Care Services Contract Joint Discussions Act. Effective immediately.
