Requires the transferor of a handgun to submit information concerning the name, address, and type of handgun transferred to the transferee. Provides that the Department of State Police must compile a computer database of this information. Provides that the information may be available to law enforcement officers who enforce laws and ordinances relating to handguns. FISCAL NOTE (Illinois State Police) The fiscal impact on the Illinois State Police would be approximately $320,000.
