1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of
3 Illinois were saddened to learn of the death of Delores M.
4 Edwards of Gillespie on Friday, September 6, 2002; and
5 WHEREAS, Mrs. Edwards was born on September 5, 1934 to
6 William "Doc" and Frances Ladny Crouser; she graduated from
7 Gillespie High School in 1952; and
8 WHEREAS, She owned and operated Edwards News Service in
9 Gillespie for more than 35 years; she was a member of Ss.
10 Simon and Jude Catholic Church in Gillespie; and
11 WHEREAS, The passing of Mrs. Edwards has been deeply felt
12 by many, especially her daughter, Karen (husband, Jim) Kelly;
13 her sons, Tom Edwards, Chuck Edwards, Mike Edwards, Rob
14 Edwards, and Jim Edwards; her 13 grandchildren; her 11
15 great-grandchildren; her brother, William Koski; her sisters,
16 Marion Bernardi and Pat Fulton; and several nieces and
17 nephews; therefore, be it
18 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SECOND GENERAL
19 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing
20 of Delores M. Edwards and offer her family and friends our
21 sincere condolences; and be it further
22 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
23 presented to the family of Delores M. Edwards with our
24 deepest sympathy.
