 1                          SENATE RESOLUTION

 2        WHEREAS, Members of the Senate of the State  of  Illinois
 3    learned with great sadness of the death of Michael V. "Mikey"
 4    Springer, Jr. of Zion on November 10, 2002; and

 5        WHEREAS,  Mr.  Springer  was  born  December  22, 1980 in
 6    Waukegan; he graduated from Zion-Benton Township High  School
 7    in 1999; and

 8        WHEREAS,  Mr. Springer was an active and energetic member
 9    of the community; he was a member of First Baptist Church  of
10    Winthrop Harbor where he played drums and belonged to a small
11    Wednesday  night Bible study group; in the summer of 2002, he
12    worked at Northpoint Marina; he was a member  of  Zion-Benton
13    Moose  Lodge  #667; he was a member and volunteer of the Lake
14    County Republican Federation; and

15        WHEREAS, Mr. Springer will be remembered for many  thing,
16    especially  for  his love of music and the Green Bay Packers;
17    and

18        WHEREAS,  His  passing  will  be  deeply  felt  by  many,
19    especially  his  fiancee,  Melissa  Kramer;  his  son,  Dylan
20    Michael Springer; his father, Michael V. Springer,  Sr.;  his
21    mother,  Tammy Y. (Billy) Ruple; his siblings, Kasey N. (Rob)
22    Pogue, Michelle L. Springer, Megan  M.  Springer,  and  James
23    Branden  Ruple;  his  maternal  grandfather,  Gary  (Maureen)
24    Pospichel;  his maternal grandmother, Judith A. (Mike) Doutt;
25    his maternal  great-grandfather,  Donald  Daisy;  his  aunts,
26    Karen  (Bill)  Blanck,  Kim (Jim) Leach, Terri (Earl) Dillow,
27    and Marjorie Griffin; his uncles, Jeff (Linda) Springer, Rick
28    (Teresa) Pospichel, and Jeff  (Stacy)  Griffin;  his  nephew,
29    Jakob    Robert   Pogue;   his   future   father-in-law   and
30    mother-in-law,   Jerry   and   Carol   Kramer;   his   future
31    sister-in-law,    Sara    (Eric)     Dowd;     his     future
32    grandparents-in-law,  Dan  and  Jane  Kramer;  and many other

 1    relatives and friends; therefore, be it

 2        RESOLVED, BY THE  SENATE  OF  THE  NINETY-SECOND  GENERAL
 3    ASSEMBLY  OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the loss of
 4    Michael V. Springer, Jr. and offer our sincere condolences to
 5    his family and friends; and be it further

 6        RESOLVED, That a suitable  copy  of  this  resolution  be
 7    presented to the family of Michael V. Springer, Jr.
