1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are deeply
3 saddened to learn of the tragic passing of 2nd Lieutenant
4 John N. Wilt, a United States Marine Corps officer, from
5 O'Fallon; and
6 WHEREAS, Lieutenant John Wilt was the son of Nelson and
7 Ann Wilt; and
8 WHEREAS, Lieutenant John Wilt was a 1996 graduate of
9 O'Fallon Township High School, where he was an honor student,
10 varsity football player, and performed in the school's
11 marching and concert bands; and
12 WHEREAS, Lieutenant John Wilt was a 2000 graduate of the
13 United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland; he was
14 then commissioned to the United States Marine Corps and was
15 stationed in Pensacola, Florida; and
16 WHEREAS, The passing of Lieutenant John N. Wilt in the
17 service of his country will be felt by all who knew and loved
18 him, especially his loving family; his many friends; and the
19 O'Fallon community; therefore, be it
20 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SECOND GENERAL
21 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
22 all who knew him, the death of 2nd Lieutenant John N. Wilt of
23 O'Fallon; and be it further
24 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
25 presented to the family of 2nd Lieutenant John N. Wilt with
26 our sincerest condolences.
