 1                          SENATE RESOLUTION

 2        WHEREAS, The members  of  the  Illinois  Senate  wish  to
 3    extend their sincere condolences to the family and friends of
 4    Samuel  M.  Lomonaco  of Waukegan, who passed away on October
 5    18, 2001; and

 6        WHEREAS, Samuel M. Lomonaco was born on May 17,  1927  in
 7    Waukegan, Illinois to Marciano and Rose Lomonaco; he attended
 8    Immaculate Conception Grade School and Waukegan Township High
 9    School;  in  addition,  he was a veteran of the United States
10    Navy having served in World War II; and

11        WHEREAS, A lifelong resident of  Waukegan,  Mr.  Lomonaco
12    owned  and  operated  Harmony  Haven  Furniture  store for 53
13    years; and

14        WHEREAS,  Mr.  Lomonaco  was  a  member   of   Immaculate
15    Conception Church in Waukegan and a former member of the Navy
16    League  and  the Board of Directors at Deerbrook in Glenview,
17    Illinois; and

18        WHEREAS, The passing of Samuel M. Lomonaco will be deeply
19    felt by all who knew and loved him, especially his  children,
20    James  (wife, Brenda) Lomonaco, Mark Lomonaco, Gina Lomonaco,
21    and Lisa (husband, Steve) Weakley; his 12 grandchildren;  his
22    4  great-grandchildren; his sisters, Ada (husband, John) Kegg
23    and Millie (husband, Leon) Seay; and his former  wife,  Betty
24    Lomonaco; therefore, be it

25        RESOLVED,  BY  THE  SENATE  OF  THE NINETY-SECOND GENERAL
26    ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along  with
27    all  who  knew  him,  the  death  of  Samuel  M.  Lomonaco of
28    Waukegan, Illinois; and be it further

29        RESOLVED, That a suitable  copy  of  this  resolution  be
30    presented  to  the family of Samuel Lomonaco with our sincere
31    condolences.
