1 AN ACT in relation to public aid.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Illinois Public Aid Code is amended by
5 changing Section 5-6 as follows:
6 (305 ILCS 5/5-6) (from Ch. 23, par. 5-6)
7 Sec. 5-6. Obligations incurred prior to death of a
8 recipient. Obligations incurred but not paid for at the time
9 of a recipient's death for services authorized under Section
10 5-5, including medical and other care in group care
11 facilities as defined in the "Nursing Home Care Act",
12 approved August 23, 1979, as amended, or in like facilities
13 not required to be licensed under that Act, may be paid,
14 subject to the rules and regulations of the Illinois
15 Department, after the death of the recipient.
