1 AN ACT relating to public utilities.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Public Utilities Act is amended by
5 changing Section 15-301 as follows:
6 (220 ILCS 5/15-301)
7 Sec. 15-301. Records and accounts.
8 (a) A Each common carrier by pipeline shall:
9 (1) Keep written accounts and records of its
10 revenues, expenses, contracts, and other activities
11 subject to regulation under this Act in accordance with
12 regulations prescribed by the Commission;
13 (2) Maintain, for a period of 3 years, copies of
14 all accounts and records required by Commission
15 regulations; and
16 (3) Make the accounts and records available for
17 inspection, on request, by an authorized employee of the
18 Commission.
19 (b) Accounts and records kept under this Section shall
20 be kept at an office in the State of Illinois unless the
21 Commission shall have authorized maintenance at a location
22 outside of the State.
