1 AN ACT in relation to public employee benefits.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Illinois Pension Code is amended by
5 changing Section 9-108.2 as follows:
6 (40 ILCS 5/9-108.2) (from Ch. 108 1/2, par. 9-108.2)
7 Sec. 9-108.2. Gender.
8 The masculine gender whenever used in this Article
9 includes the feminine gender and all annuities and other
10 benefits applicable to male employees and their survivors,
11 and the contributions to be made for widows' annuities or
12 other annuities, benefits, and refunds, shall apply with
13 equal force to female employees and their survivors, without
14 any modification or distinction whatsoever.
