1 AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 1909
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend Senate Bill 1909 on page 3, by
3 replacing line 10 with the following:
4 "manufacture, sale, or distribution of alcoholic"; and
5 on page 3, line 28, by inserting the following after the
6 period:
7 "Notwithstanding any provision of this paragraph (14) to the
8 contrary, an alderman or member of a city council or
9 commission, a member of a village board of trustees, other
10 than the president of the village board of trustees, or a
11 member of a county board, other than the president of a
12 county board, may have a direct interest in a manufacturer or
13 distributor of alcoholic liquor, provided (1) that he or she
14 is not a law enforcing public official, a member of a local
15 liquor control commission, or a mayor and (2) that the
16 manufacturer or distributor is not required to hold a local
17 liquor license.".
