1 AN ACT making appropriations and reappropriations.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The following named amount, or so much
5 thereof as may be necessary, for the purpose hereinafter
6 named, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the
7 Board of Trustees of Eastern Illinois University to meet the
8 ordinary and contingent expenses of the University, including
9 payment or reimbursement to the University for personal
10 services and related costs, incurred during the fiscal year
11 ending June 30, 2002 and for salaries accrued but unpaid to
12 academic personnel for personal services rendered during the
13 FY 2001 academic year.............................$47,770,400
14 Total $47,770,400
15 Section 10. The following named amount, or so much
16 thereof as may be necessary, for the purpose hereinafter
17 named, is appropriated from the Education Assistance Fund to
18 the Board of Trustees of Eastern Illinois University to meet
19 the ordinary and contingent expenses of the University,
20 including payment or reimbursement to the University for
21 personal services and related costs, incurred during the
22 fiscal year ending June 30, 2002 and for salaries accrued but
23 unpaid to academic personnel for personal services rendered
24 during the FY 2001 academic year...................$6,813,500
25 Total $6,813,500
26 Section 15. The sum of $805,631, or so much thereof as
27 may be necessary and remains unexpended at the close of
28 business on June 30, 2001, from an appropriation heretofore
29 made for such purpose in Article 4, Section 15 of Public Act
30 91-0705, is reappropriated from the Capital Development Fund

1 to Eastern Illinois University for digitalization
2 infrastructure for WEIU-TV.
3 Section 20. The sum of $814,444, or so much thereof as
4 may be necessary and remains unexpended at the close of
5 business on June 30, 2001, from an appropriation heretofore
6 made for such purpose in Article 4, Section 25 of Public Act
7 91-0705, is reappropriated from the Capital Development Fund
8 to the Board of Trustees of Eastern Illinois University for
9 digitalization infrastructure for WEIU-TV, in addition to
10 amounts previously appropriated for such purpose. No
11 contract shall be entered into or obligation incurred for any
12 expenditure from the appropriation made in this Section until
13 after the purposes and amounts have been approved in writing
14 by the Governor.
15 Section 25. The sum of $4,000,000, or so much thereof as
16 may be necessary and remains unexpended at the close of
17 business on June 30, 2001, from an appropriation heretofore
18 made for such purpose in Article 4, Section 30 of Public Act
19 91-0705, is reappropriated from the Capital Development Fund
20 to the Board of Trustees of Eastern Illinois University to
21 purchase equipment for the renovation and expansion of Booth
22 Library. No contract shall be entered into or obligation
23 incurred for any expenditure from the appropriation made in
24 this Section until after the purposes and amounts have been
25 approved in writing by the Governor.
26 Section 30. The sum of $12,100, or so much as may be
27 necessary, is appropriated from the State College and
28 University Trust Fund to the Board of Trustees of Eastern
29 Illinois University for scholarship grant awards, in
30 accordance with Public Act 91-0083.

1 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect on
2 July 1, 2001.
