1 AN ACT making appropriations and reappropriations.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The sum of $217,121,000, or so much thereof
5 as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue
6 Fund to the Board of Trustees of Southern Illinois University
7 for any expenditures or purposes authorized by law, including
8 payment to the University for personal services and related
9 costs incurred, for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2002.
10 Section 10. The sum of $30,282,100, or so much thereof
11 as may be necessary, is appropriated from the Education
12 Assistance Fund to the Board of Trustees of Southern Illinois
13 University for any expenditures or purposes authorized by
14 law, including payment to the University for personal
15 services and related costs incurred, for the fiscal year
16 ending June 30, 2002.
17 Section 15. The sum of $814,444, or so much thereof as
18 may be necessary, is appropriated from the Capital
19 Development Fund to the Board of Trustees of Southern
20 Illinois University for digitalization infrastructure for
21 WSIU-TV (Carbondale), in addition to amounts previously
22 appropriated for such purpose. No contract shall be entered
23 into or obligation incurred for any expenditure from the
24 appropriation made in this Section until after the purposes
25 and amounts have been approved in writing by the Governor.
26 Section 20. The sum of $814,444, or so much thereof as
27 may be necessary, is appropriated from the Capital
28 Development Fund to the Board of Trustees of Southern
29 Illinois University for digitalization infrastructure for

1 WUSI-TV (Olney), in addition to amounts previously
2 appropriated for such purpose. No contract shall be entered
3 into or obligation incurred for any expenditure from the
4 appropriation made in this Section until after the purposes
5 and amounts have been approved in writing by the Governor.
6 Section 25. The amount of $6,000,000, or so much thereof
7 as may be necessary and remains unexpended at the close of
8 business on June 30, 2001, from a reappropriation heretofore
9 made for such purpose in Article 28, Section 25 of Public Act
10 91-20 is reappropriated to Southern Illinois University from
11 the Capital Development Fund for purchasing equipment for the
12 Engineering Building at the Edwardsville campus.
13 Section 30. The amount of $814,444, or so much thereof
14 as may be necessary and remains unexpended at the close of
15 business on June 30, 2001, from an appropriation heretofore
16 made for such purpose in Article 9, Section 55 of Public Act
17 91-705 is reappropriated to Southern Illinois University from
18 the Capital Development Fund for digitalization
19 infrastructure for WSIU-TV (Carbondale).
20 Section 35. The amount of $814,444, or so much thereof
21 as may be necessary and remains unexpended at the close of
22 business on June 30, 2001, from an appropriation heretofore
23 made for such purpose in Article 9, Section 60 of Public Act
24 91-705 is reappropriated to Southern Illinois University from
25 the Capital Development Fund for digitalization
26 infrastructure for WUSI-TV (Olney).
27 Section 40. The amount of $814,444, or so much thereof
28 as may be necessary and remains unexpended at the close of
29 business on June 30, 2001, from an appropriation heretofore
30 made for such purpose in Article 9, Section 40 of Public Act

1 91-8 is reappropriated to Southern Illinois University from
2 the Capital Development Fund for digitalization
3 infrastructure for WSIU-TV (Carbondale).
4 Section 45. The amount of $814,444, or so much thereof
5 as may be necessary and remains unexpended at the close of
6 business on June 30, 2001, from an appropriation heretofore
7 made for such purpose in Article 9, Section 45 of Public Act
8 91-8 is reappropriated to Southern Illinois University from
9 the Capital Development Fund for digitalization
10 infrastructure for WUSI-TV (Olney).
11 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect on
12 July 1, 2001.
