1 AN ACT in relation to public aid.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Illinois Public Aid Code is amended by
5 adding Section 12-4.36 as follows:
6 (305 ILCS 5/12-4.36 new)
7 Sec. 12-4.36. Underpayments and overpayments to vendors
8 under Article V. If, after an audit of a vendor of goods or
9 services to recipients under the medical assistance program
10 under Article V, the Department determines that there has
11 been an underpayment or overpayment to the vendor, the
12 Department shall reimburse the vendor for any underpayment
13 and shall collect from the vendor the amount of any
14 overpayment.
15 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
16 becoming law.
