1 AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 717
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend Senate Bill 717 on page 1,
3 line 5 by changing "Sections 7 and 8" to "Section 7"; and
4 on page 4, by replacing lines 23 through 26 with the
5 following:
6 "July 15 of each year thereafter the employer shall within 60
7 days pay a sum equal to 1/8 of 1% of all compensation
8 payments made by him after July 1, 1980, either"; and
9 by replacing lines 13 through 34 of page 5 and lines 1
10 through 8 of page 6 with the following:
11 "To the extent that the employer insures its workers'
12 compensation liability under this Act, insurers shall
13 collect such assessments from their"; and
14 on page 6, line 18 by inserting after the period the
15 following:
16 "An employer who has ceased to be a self-insurer shall
17 continue to be liable for any assessments based on
18 compensation payments made by the employer in the preceding
19 fiscal year"; and
20 on page 7, line 14 by changing "and each subsequent year" to
21 "and each subsequent year"; and

1 by replacing lines 22 through 34 of page 7 and lines 1
2 through 26 of page 8 with the following:
3 "same calendar year.
4 To the extent that the employer insures its workers'

7 by deleting lines 31 through 33 of page 13 and all of pages
8 14 through 35.
