 1        AN ACT concerning the regulation of fireworks.

 2        Be  it  enacted  by  the People of the State of Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4        Section 5.  The Fireworks Regulation Act of  Illinois  is
 5    amended by adding Section 3.5 as follows:

 6        (425 ILCS 30/3.5 new)
 7        Sec. 3.5.  Sale and use prohibited on public property.  A
 8    municipality  may, by ordinance, prohibit the sale and use of
 9    sparklers on public property.

10        Section 10.  The Fireworks Use Act is amended  by  adding
11    Section 3.4 as follows:

12        (425 ILCS 35/3.4 new)
13        Sec. 3.4.  Sale and use prohibited on public property.  A
14    municipality  may, by ordinance, prohibit the sale and use of
15    sparklers on public property.
