 1                     AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 64

 2        AMENDMENT NO.     .  Amend Senate Bill 64 as follows:

 3    on page 1, by deleting lines 4 through 31; and

 4    on page 2, by deleting lines 1 through 11; and

 5    on page 2, by  replacing  line  13  with  "changing  Sections
 6    11-501 and 16-104b as follows:" and

 7    on page 8, below line 5, by inserting the following:

 8        "(625 ILCS 5/16-104b)
 9        Sec.   16-104b.  Amounts   for  Trauma  Center  Fund.  In
10    counties that have elected not to distribute moneys under the
11    disbursement formulas in Sections 27.5 and 27.6 of the Clerks
12    of  Courts  Act,  the  Circuit  Clerk  of  the  County,  when
13    collecting fees, fines,  costs,  additional  penalties,  bail
14    balances  assessed or forfeited, and any other amount imposed
15    upon a conviction  of  or  an  order  of  supervision  for  a
16    violation  of  laws  or ordinances regulating the movement of
17    traffic that amounts to $55 or more, shall remit  $5  of  the
18    total  amount collected, less 2 1/2% of the $5 to help defray
19    the administrative costs incurred by the Clerk,  except  that
20    upon  a  conviction or order of supervision for driving under
21    the influence of alcohol or drugs the Clerk shall remit  $105

 1    $30 of the total amount collected ($5 for a traffic violation
 2    that amounts to $55 or more and an additional fee of $100 $25
 3    to  be  collected  by  the  Circuit Clerk for a conviction or
 4    order of supervision  for  driving  under  the  influence  of
 5    alcohol  or  drugs),  less  the 2 1/2%, within 60 days to the
 6    State Treasurer to be deposited into the Trauma Center  Fund.
 7    Of  the  amounts  deposited into the Trauma Center Fund under
 8    this Section, 50% shall be disbursed  to  the  Department  of
 9    Public Health and 50% shall be disbursed to the Department of
10    Public  Aid.  Not later than March 1 of each year the Circuit
11    Clerk shall submit a report of the amount of  funds  remitted
12    to   the  State  Treasurer  under  this  Section  during  the
13    preceding calendar year.
