1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The House Republican Staff has faithfully served
3 the Illinois House of Representatives with their technical,
4 professional, political, creative, organizational, and
5 clerical talents in relation to the legislative process; and
6 WHEREAS, These staff members give of their time, talents,
7 and energies, toiling to support the legislative process; and
8 WHEREAS, These professionals are all experts in their
9 chosen fields, demonstrating both ability and willingness to
10 share their knowledge at a moment's notice; and
11 WHEREAS, The members of the House Republican Staff
12 demonstrate many skills, handling administrative
13 responsibilities, personnel and accounting matters,
14 clarifying legal issues, and performing research and
15 consultative functions; and
16 WHEREAS, The members of the Research and Appropriations
17 Staff are ever ready to make the legislative process as
18 uncomplicated as possible by helping sort the interests of
19 those affected by legislation, being available both in
20 committee and in the House Chambers, answering questions and
21 analyzing bills, spending long hours translating volumes of
22 complicated figures and calculations and making them
23 understandable to all; and
24 WHEREAS, The members of the Policy Staff provide
25 assistance with the research and study of issues deemed to be
26 of significant long-range importance to the citizens of
27 Illinois; and
28 WHEREAS, The members of the Press Staff lend their
29 expertise to help legislators keep their constituents
30 informed of developments in Springfield through timely
31 newsletters and news releases, radio programs, and columns

1 and speeches; and
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Legislative Secretarial Staff
3 keep the members' offices running smoothly, by assisting
4 constituents, drafting and typing correspondence, handling
5 phone calls, filing, scheduling appointments, and greeting
6 the public; and
7 WHEREAS, The members of the Clerk's Staff assist in
8 preparing the historical record and assuring the orderly
9 functioning of this House; and
10 WHEREAS, All staff members display a tireless dedication
11 to the people's business, showing competence and
12 professionalism in the performance of their duties;
13 therefore, be it
14 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
15 NINETY-SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
16 we do hereby extend our deepest thanks and appreciation to
17 all members of the House Republican Staff; and be it further
18 RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this preamble and
19 resolution be presented to Joshua Adams, Melissa Alexander,
20 Ryan Alexander, Laura Anderson, Jim Arcuri, Kevin Artl,
