1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives wish to say farewell to Representative Roger
4 C. Marquardt of the 39th District; and
5 WHEREAS, Representative Marquardt was born on October 23,
6 1936 in Elmhurst; he is married to Judy and he has four
7 children; and
8 WHEREAS, Representative Marquardt is a former police
9 officer for Lombard; former Director of the DuPage Airport
10 Authority; former Assistant to the Secretary, Illinois
11 Department of Transportation; former State Director of
12 Aviation; and former DuPage Board of Realtors President; he
13 has worked with civic groups to pass the 1976 Park District
14 Referendum; and he is a fifth generation Lombardian; and
15 WHEREAS, He has been a member of the Committees on Aging;
16 Aviation (Spokesperson); Cities & Villages; Environment &
17 Energy; Labor; and Telecommunications Rewrite; therefore, be
18 it
19 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
20 NINETY-SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
21 we express our heartiest congratulations and best wishes for
22 continued success to Representative Roger C. Marquardt and we
23 commend him on his service in the Illinois House of
24 Representatives; and be it further
25 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
26 presented to Representative Roger C. Marquardt as an
27 expression of our esteem.
