1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of
3 the State of Illinois wish to congratulate Representative
4 Suzanne D. Simpson on her service to the people of District
5 61; and
6 WHEREAS, Representative Simpson began her political
7 career as a Republican Precinct Committeeperson from 1988 to
8 1998; she has served as the Warren Township Supervisor since
9 1997; she was appointed to represent District 61 in 2002; and
10 WHEREAS, Representative Simpson is a member of the Lake
11 County Republican Federation and she has been a member of
12 the Federation Board of Governors since 1995; she has been a
13 member of the Lake County Farm Bureau Legislative Committee;
14 and
15 WHEREAS, Representative Simpson sponsored the End Stage
16 Renal Disease Facility Act; it provides for the licensure of
17 facilities that provide dialysis treatment or dialysis
18 training to individuals with end stage renal disease; and
19 WHEREAS, Representative Simpson has served on several
20 committees while a member of the House of Representatives
21 including the committees on Public Utilities; Financial
22 Institutions; Labor; Environment & Energy; and
23 Telecommunications Rewrite; and
24 WHEREAS, Representative Simpson is the owner and operator
25 of Simpson Equipment in Grayslake; she is married (husband,
26 Kent) and has two daughters; therefore, be it
27 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
28 NINETY-SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
29 we congratulate Representative Suzanne D. Simpson on
30 successfully serving the constituents of District 61; and be
31 it further

1 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
2 presented to Representative Simpson with our wishes that she
3 enjoy success and happiness in all of her future endeavors.
