1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The Providence Catholic High School of New Lenox
3 had an exceptional year in athletic competition during the
4 2001-2002 school year, with the football team and the
5 wrestling team each winning Illinois High School Association
6 State championships; and
7 Whereas, The Celtics football team, under the leadership
8 of head coach Matt Seffner, finished the regular season
9 undefeated; and
10 WHEREAS, Providence Catholic High School has won 7 State
11 football championships; and
12 WHEREAS, The Celtic wrestling team, under head coach
13 Keith Healy, was equally successful in achieving an
14 undefeated season and winning the State AA Wrestling
15 championship; and
16 WHEREAS, Providence Catholic High School wrestling teams
17 have won 10 State Championships and 6 championships in a row,
18 which is a new State record; and
19 WHEREAS, The outstanding athletic accomplishments of the
20 Providence Catholic High School football and wrestling teams
21 are a source of great pride to the athletes, coaches,
22 students, parents, alumni, and friends of the school;
23 therefore be it
24 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
25 NINETY-SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
26 we congratulate Providence Catholic High School of New Lenox
27 for their outstanding tradition in the field of high school
28 athletics; and be it further
29 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
30 presented to Providence Catholic High School of New Lenox as
