1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives wish to congratulate Elaine Culbertson of
4 Vandalia, Illinois, on receiving the Soroptimist
5 International of Vandalia Club's "Woman of Distinction in the
6 field of Social and Economic Development" award; and
7 WHEREAS, Elaine Culbertson is known for being very
8 thoughtful, caring, and supportive of her family, the
9 elderly, work friends, and friends; she cares for several
10 elderly widow women and devotes her time and effort to make
11 sure they are healthy and in good spirits; and
12 WHEREAS, Elaine Culbertson is quick to compliment and
13 acknowledge others for their accomplishments; she often
14 presents a gift or a flower and dedicates a Gideon Bible in
15 their memory or in recognition of accomplishments; and
16 WHEREAS, Ms. Culbertson is single and has worked for
17 World Color Press Corporate Office in Effingham for 24 years;
18 and
19 WHEREAS, Ms. Culbertson is very active in her church,
20 Vera Baptist Church, where she is a youth Sunday School
21 teacher; she also provides help with other church functions;
22 and
23 WHEREAS, Ms. Culbertson will be honored by the
24 Soroptimist International of Vandalia at a banquet on April
25 5, 2002, where she will receive the "Woman of Distinction in
26 the field of Social and Economic Development" award;
27 therefore, be it
28 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
29 NINETY-SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
30 we congratulate Elaine Culbertson, recipient of the "Woman of
31 Distinction in the field of Social and Economic Development"

1 award from Soroptimist International of Vandalia; and be it
2 further
3 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
4 presented to Elaine Culbertson.
