1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are pleased to recognize significant events
4 in the lives of the citizens of the State of Illinois; and
5 WHEREAS, In recognition of her outstanding achievements
6 in the area of community service, Nancy Coglianese of Melrose
7 Park is the first woman to receive the "Man of the Year"
8 award from the Napolitano Club; and
9 WHEREAS, Nancy Coglianese graduated from Hirsch High
10 School in Chicago and earned her bachelor's degree in
11 education from Western Illinois University; she married
12 Daniel Coglianese in 1960 and has four children, Angelo,
13 Lisa, Guy, and Danny Jr., and 2 grandchildren, Page and
14 Donato; and
15 WHEREAS, Mrs. Coglianese, in her 27 years serving the
16 district, has taught kindergarten at Melrose Park School and
17 served as pre-school director/teacher at Veterans Park; and
18 WHEREAS, Mrs. Coglianese is a member of Our Lady of Mt.
19 Carmel in Melrose Park and the Altar and Rosary Society; she
20 is a member of the Illinois Education Association as well as
21 the National Education Association; furthermore, Mrs.
22 Coglianese is a member of the American Cancer Society, the
23 Make A Wish Foundation, and United Way; and
24 WHEREAS, Mrs. Coglianese is President of the Veterans
25 Park District Seniors Club and the only woman elected to the
26 Veterans Park District, from 1997-2003, where she has been
27 secretary since 1997; Mrs. Coglianese is an Honorary Life
28 Member of Stevenson School PTA at Melrose Park, a member of
29 the Melrose Park Women's Basketball Organization, and a
30 member of the Woman's Auxillary of the Melrose Park Little
31 League; therefore, be it

1 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
2 NINETY-SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
3 we congratulate Nancy C. Coglianese on her achievements,
4 especially for the "Man of the Year" Award, given by the
5 Napolitano Club, and wish her all the best in her future
6 endeavors; and be it further
7 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be sent
8 to Nancy C. Coglianese as an expression of our esteem.
