1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are honored to recognize milestone events in
4 the lives of the citizens of the State of Illinois; and
5 WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that John Willis is
6 celebrating his 20th anniversary at Calumet Street Christian
7 Church in Centralia; and
8 WHEREAS, On January 17, 1982, John Willis came to serve
9 as the preaching minister at Calumet Street Christian Church;
10 and
11 WHEREAS, John Willis and his wife Debbie are the parents
12 of three grown children who are all active in the Christian
13 ministry, Christie (Phil) Heller, Matthew (Renee), and Sarah,
14 and they are the grandparents of Jenna Beth and Cade Heller;
15 and
16 WHEREAS, On January 27, 2002, the Willises were honored
17 by the Calumet Street Christian Church for their many years
18 of dedication and service; therefore, be it
19 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
20 NINETY-SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
21 we congratulate John Willis on the celebration of his 20th
22 anniversary of service as the preaching minister with the
23 Calumet Street Christian Church; and be it further
24 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
25 presented to John Willis as an expression of our esteem.
