92_HR0582 LRB9211135RHrh 1 HOUSE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 3 Representatives wish to express their sincere condolences to 4 the family and friends of Thomas Henry Robben, who passed 5 away on November 14, 2001; and 6 WHEREAS, Thomas Henry Robben was born on December 11, 7 1931 in Germantown, Illinois to Herman and Clara Robben; he 8 married Betty Seiffert on September 2, 1957 at St. Mary's 9 Church in Carlyle; and 10 WHEREAS, Mr. Robben was a United States Army veteran 11 serving from 1949 to 1953 in Panama; and 12 WHEREAS, Mr. Robben retired in 1994 as supervisor of base 13 supply at Scott Air Force Base; and 14 WHEREAS, Mr. Robben was a member of St. Mary's Church in 15 Carlyle, where he was a member of the Parish Council and 16 extraordinary minister; he also served on the Case-Halstead 17 Library Board and the Mater Dei High School Board; he was a 18 past grand knight of the Knights of Columbus, past treasurer 19 of the Carlyle Lake Men's Golf league, a member of American 20 Legion Post 404 and a Little League baseball coach; and 21 WHEREAS, The passing of Thomas Henry Robben will be 22 deeply felt by all who knew and loved him, especially his 23 wife, Betty Robben; his sons, Dan Robben and his wife Karen, 24 Rich Robben and his wife Sue, and Tom Robben Jr. and his wife 25 Connie; his daughters, Julie Isaak and her husband Doug and 26 Ginny Biebel and her husband Tom; his brothers, Herman Robben 27 and his wife Vanetta, Harold Robben and his wife Carolyn, Jim 28 Robben and his wife Marlene, and Leonard Robben and his wife 29 Jeanette; his sisters, Vivian Hedtkamp and her husband 30 Norbert and Betty Schoendienst and her husband Frank; and his 31 14 grandchildren; therefore, be it -2- LRB9211135RHrh 1 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 2 NINETY-SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 3 we mourn, along with all who knew him, the death of Thomas 4 Henry Robben of Carlyle, Illinois; and be it further 5 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 6 presented to the family of Thomas Henry Robben with our 7 sincere condolences.
