1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are pleased to recognize milestone events in
4 the lives of the citizens of the State of Illinois; and
5 WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that Sylvia Sleva
6 is retiring from her duties at Danville Area Community
7 College; and
8 WHEREAS, Sylvia Sleva has served as an office specialist
9 for the past 27 years; her duties included working closely
10 with the faculty lists and class lists and maintaining
11 transcripts; and
12 WHEREAS, During her 27-year tenure at Danville Area
13 Community College, Sylvia Sleva has witnessed and adapted to
14 many changes, including advancements in technology and the
15 competitiveness of education; and
16 WHEREAS, Sylvia Sleva, a Westville High School graduate,
17 previously worked for the Ford agency for 8 years and at the
18 Vermilion County ASCS office for 14 years; and
19 WHEREAS, Sylvia Sleva plans to spend her retirement
20 working part-time, traveling, and expanding on her hobby of
21 gardening; and
22 WHEREAS, Sylvia Sleva will miss the faculty, staff,
23 students, and members of the Danville community with whom she
24 has developed friendships over the years; therefore, be it
25 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
26 NINETY-SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
27 we congratulate Sylvia Sleva on her retirement after 27 years
28 of service as an office specialist at Danville Area Community
29 College and we wish her well in all of her future endeavors;

2 presented to Sylvia Sleva as an expression of our esteem.
