 1                          HOUSE RESOLUTION

 2        WHEREAS,  The  members   of   the   Illinois   House   of
 3    Representatives  are pleased to recognize milestone events in
 4    the lives of the citizens  of  the  State  of  Illinois;  and

 5        WHEREAS,  It  has  come to our attention that Ray Favero,
 6    Sr. is retiring this year from 36 years of  service  as  Reed
 7    Township supervisor; and

 8        WHEREAS,  Ray  Favero,  Sr.  was  born  on June 26, 1927;
 9    through his continuous service  as  the  township  supervisor
10    since  1965,  he  has  become  one   of  the  longest-serving
11    township supervisors in Will County; and

12        WHEREAS,  Ray  Favero,  Sr.  has  witnessed  considerable
13    change  in  the township during his years as a supervisor; he
14    has aided with general assistance requests and in keeping the
15    county roads open and maintained; he helped in  the  creation
16    of the mosquito abatement district; and he helped to create a
17    national  award-winning  township plan to deal with the rapid
18    growth of the township; and

19        WHEREAS, Ray Favero, Sr. will not be leaving the township
20    government at his retirement due to his recent election to  a
21    township  trustee  position;  however,  he  also plans to set
22    aside time to devote to his farm,  which  is  populated  with
23    exotic  animals such as English fallow deer, Galloway cattle,
24    and arctic yak; and

25        WHEREAS, Ray Favero,  Sr.  is  also  looking  forward  to
26    spending  time  with  his family, who include his wife, Mary;
27    his sons, Mark and Jeff; and his daughter, Lori; therefore be
28    it

29        RESOLVED,  BY  THE  HOUSE  OF  REPRESENTATIVES   OF   THE
30    NINETY-SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
31    we  congratulate  Ray  Favero,  Sr. on his retirement from 36

 1    years of service as the Reed Township supervisor and we  wish
 2    him well in all of his future endeavors; and be it further

 3        RESOLVED,  That  a  suitable  copy  of this resolution be
 4    presented to Ray Favero, Sr. as an expression of our esteem.
