1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are pleased to recognize milestone events in
4 the lives of the citizens of the State of Illinois; and
5 WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that Jeffrey Allen
6 was recently appointed by the Illinois Supreme Court to serve
7 on the State's Attorney Registration and Disciplinary
8 Commission; and
9 WHEREAS, Jeffrey Allen, who is currently serving as
10 director of the Will County Legal Assistance Program, will
11 serve a two-year term on the Attorney Registration and
12 Disciplinary Commission, a seven-member commission made up of
13 four attorneys and three non-attorneys that investigates
14 allegations of attorney misconduct; and
15 WHEREAS, In his capacity as director of the Will County
16 Legal Assistance Program, Jeffrey Allen supervises an
17 operation that provides advice, assistance, and
18 representation in civil matters to the county's low-income
19 and indigent residents; and
20 WHEREAS, In addition, Jeffrey Allen is the president of
21 the Joliet Grade School Board; and
22 WHEREAS, Jeffrey Allen looks forward to his new position
23 on the State's Attorney Registration and Disciplinary
24 Commission with great enthusiasm, and promises to promote the
25 highest standards of the law profession; therefore, be it
26 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
27 NINETY-SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
28 we congratulate Jeffrey Allen on his appointment to serve on
29 the State's Attorney Registration and Disciplinary
30 Commission; and be it further

1 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
2 presented to Jeffrey Allen as an expression of our esteem.
