92_HR0221 LRB9208697RHrh 1 HOUSE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 3 Representatives are pleased to recognize notable citizens of 4 the State of Illinois; and 5 WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that Marilyn J. 6 Shineflug is stepping down from her duties as Mayor of 7 Antioch, Illinois; and 8 WHEREAS, Mrs. Shineflug has proudly served as Mayor of 9 the village of Antioch, Illinois, since 1993; she previously 10 served as a village trustee from 1989 until 1993, where she 11 served as Co-Chair of the Finance Committee, and as Chair of 12 the Permits, Planning, Zoning and Industrial Development 13 Committee; and 14 WHEREAS, During her tenure of service to the village, 15 Mrs. Shineflug served on a variety of committees that 16 included the Antioch Redevelopment Committee, the Community 17 Action Now Steering Committee, the Antioch 18 Landfill/Environment Committee, and the Committee to 19 Investigate the need for a Village Manager; in addition she 20 served on the Lake County Solid Waste Planning Agency 21 (SWALCO) from 1983 to the present day, the Lake County 22 Municipal League, where she currently serves as President and 23 on the Board of Directors, the Lake County Community 24 Development, the Lake County Stormwater Management 25 Commission, the Lake County Council of Mayors, and the 26 Northwest Municipal Conference; and 27 WHEREAS, Marilyn J. Shineflug is supported by her loving 28 family which includes her husband, Robert, her children, 29 Joanne (husband, Jeff) Harrison and Karen (husband, John) 30 Moore, and her grandson, Nicholas Moore; therefore, be it 31 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE -2- LRB9208697RHrh 1 NINETY-SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 2 we congratulate Marilyn J. Shineflug for her years of 3 dedicated service to the citizens of Antioch, Illinois, and 4 we wish her well in all of her future endeavors; and be it 5 further 6 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 7 presented to Marilyn J. Shineflug as an expression of our 8 esteem.
