92_HR0214 LRB9208630RHrh 1 HOUSE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 3 Representatives are pleased to recognize milestone events in 4 the lives of the citizens of the State of Illinois; and 5 WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that Master 6 Sergeant Anthony J. "Tony" Bruns is retiring from a career of 7 21 years of service to the United States Air Force; and 8 WHEREAS, Master Sergeant Anthony J. Bruns graduated from 9 Collinsville High School in 1980, the NCO Leadership School 10 at the Little Rock Air Force Base in Arkansas in 1988, and 11 the NCO Academy at the Lackland Air Force Base in Texas in 12 1993; he received his Associates of Applied Science in 13 aircraft maintenance technology at the Community College of 14 the Air Force, and completed course work at the Senior NCO 15 Academy; and 16 WHEREAS, Master Segeant Bruns entered the United States 17 Air Force in 1980; during his 21 year career he has held a 18 variety of positions at both the command and squadron levels; 19 in addition, he served in numerous assignments that include 20 service as the Superintendent of Operations of the 76 Airlift 21 Squadron at the Ramstein Air Base in Germany; Production 22 Superintendent at the Sigonella Navel Air Station in Sicily; 23 and as aircraft quality assurance inspector at the Scott Air 24 Force Base in Illinois; and 25 WHEREAS, Master Sergeant Bruns currently serves as the 26 senior logistics controller for the Logistics Readiness 27 Center at the Headquarters Air Mobility Command, Scott Air 28 Force Base, in Illinois; he is responsible for the global 29 recovery of all AMC and AMC-gained aircraft supporting United 30 Nations, Presidential, Department of Defense, and command 31 tanker and airlift missions; and -2- LRB9208630RHrh 1 WHEREAS, Master Sergeant Bruns has received major awards 2 and decorations during his career that include the 3 Meritorious Service Medal, the Air Force Commendation Medal, 4 the Air Force Achievement Medal, and the NATO Medal; 5 therefore, be it 6 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 7 NINETY-SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 8 we congratulate Master Sergeant Anthony J. Bruns on his 9 retirement from 21 years of service with the United States 10 Air Force, and we wish him well in all of his future 11 endeavors; and be it further 12 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 13 presented to Master Sergeant Anthony J. Bruns as an 14 expression of our esteem.
