1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, It has come to the attention of the members of
3 the Illinois House of Representatives that May is "Better
4 Speech and Hearing Month"; and
5 WHEREAS, The Sertoma Speech & Hearing Center, located in
6 the south/southwest Chicago and suburban area, is dedicated
7 to helping individuals with speech and hearing problems; and
8 WHEREAS, Their mission statement says that Sertoma
9 focuses on providing quality professional service to all
10 people who are speech or hearing impaired regardless of their
11 income level; and
12 WHEREAS, All funds earned by the Sertoma Speech & Hearing
13 Center are turned back into the Center, for use in it's many
14 services; the services that are provided include speech and
15 hearing assessments, treatment, fitting of communication
16 devices, and educational services to individuals and other
17 institutions; and
18 WHEREAS, All age groups are cared for by the Sertoma
19 Speech & Hearing Center; the variety of services provided and
20 the level of caring show that the Sertoma Speech & Hearing
21 Center is a vital part of the State of Illinois; therefore,
22 be it
23 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
24 NINETY-SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
25 we congratulate the men and women of the Sertoma Speech &
26 Hearing Center on their hard work and dedication to caring
27 for the needs of others; and be it further
28 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
29 presented to David J. Rompala, Executive Director of the
30 Sertoma Speech & Hearing Center.
