1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives wish to congratulate and thank Sister Dorothy
4 Kinsella, vice president of Guardian Angel Home in Joliet,
5 Illinois, who has announced her decision to step down from
6 her position with Guardian Angel Home; and
7 WHEREAS, Sister Dorothy Kinsella is a member of the
8 Sisters of St. Francis of Mary Immaculate religious order;
9 she previously taught history at the College of St. Francis
10 and held an administrative position with the Sisters of St.
11 Francis of Mary Immaculate; in July of 1983 she took on her
12 current position with Guardian Angel Home; and
13 WHEREAS, The Groundwork program, a vital part of the
14 Guardian Angel Home, is a program designed to aid battered
15 women and their children; the program also helps women who
16 are not in immediate danger, but need assistance to deal with
17 domestic violence; and
18 WHEREAS, Sister Dorothy Kinsella would now like to become
19 a pastoral assistant in a local Catholic parish; therefore,
20 be it
21 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
22 NINETY-SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
23 we congratulate Sister Dorothy Kinsella as she prepares to
24 move on from her position with Guardian Angel Home in Joliet,
25 Illinois; we also thank her for her hard work and dedication
26 in helping others less fortunate; and be it further
27 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
28 presented to Sister Dorothy Kinsella.
